The James A. Redden U.S. Courthouse in Medford has been identified as one of hundreds of federal properties across the country “designated for disposal” by the federal government. This courthouse is among ten federal buildings in Oregon that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has marked for potential sale.
The James A. Redden U.S. Courthouse in Medford, Oregon, currently serves as a federal courthouse for the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. It houses a full-time judge, staff, attorneys from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and probation and pretrial services.
In addition to the courthouse, two other Medford properties are on the disposal list: the USGS Building and USGS Warehouse. The administration has also announced plans to cancel leases for Food and Drug Administration offices in Medford, among other Oregon cities.
